TruSTAR is an inclusive program consisting of online and in-person opportunities to increase the career readiness of Truman students. Career readiness is the attainment and demonstration of requisite competencies that broadly prepare college graduates for a successful transition into the workplace. (NACE, 2015)
TruSTAR focuses on all eight competencies identified by National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE): Problem Solving, Global Fluency, Communication, Leadership, Teamwork, Digital Technology, Career Management, and Professionalism. While there are modules on five of these competencies, there are required activities and experiences related to the remaining three.
